How It Works
Our online product designer tool puts you in complete control, letting you design a product that perfectly fits your space and lifestyle. With up to 16 parts in various widths, heights, and depths, you can combine, stack, and arrange sections exactly how you want.
1. Design
A. Adjust to your size
Build your furniture by combining parts side by side and stacking them on top of each other to meet your desired width and height. You can add up to 7 parts horizontally (Part A–Part G) and an additional part on top of the bottom compartments. This allows a maximum width of 5.53 m (7 × 79 cm) and a maximum height of 3 m (2 × 1.5 m). The depth is adjustable between 15 cm and 70 cm to suit your space and needs.
B. Add the features
Our product designer tool offers a wide range of features designed to meet the most common needs when choosing furniture. Whether you are creating a compact coffee table or a full wardrobe, the system gives you the flexibility to design pieces that fit your space, style, and requirements perfectly.

C. Choose your colour
Our palette of 28 versatile colours, is designed to suit a wide range of interiors and personal styles. Colours shape the mood, define the space, and give your furniture its identity. From bright and airy tones to rich and deep shades, our collection offers options for every purpose, allowing you to create a space that’s truly your own.
2. Measure
Not sure if your chosen piece will fit or want to explore the design together before ordering? With our site visit service, a member of our team will come to your home to take accurate measurements and create a custom design for you on the spot using our product designer tool.
During the visit, you will receive a link to your configurated design, so you can revisit it anytime and make further changes if required before placing your order. The site visit service is offered for a non-refundable fee of €35.
3. Manufacture
The DEF setup is highly automated relying on the latest technology. This helps us to operate efficiently, reduce human error significantly through various controls and makes sure that our products meet the latest industry standards. By using machine technology, our system creates less waste, helping us meet our sustainability goals and minimising our environmental footprint.
DEF was born from SAW’s 30-year legacy in bespoke furniture manufacturing combining expert craftsmanship with cutting-edge automation. While we operate independently, our roots with SAW give us a solid foundation of quality, precision, and efficiency.
4. Deliver
We offer free delivery up to ground floor for all our personalised products to anywhere in Malta and Gozo. Our furniture is manufactured, assembled and packed within our factory in Malta.
5. Install
Our products are delivered as assembled in units any internal elements like shelving, partitions, doors and drawers will be delivered already in place. To complete the setup, the units (when your product is made from more than a single unit) simply need to be connected using the provided screws and pre-drilled holes. An easy-to-follow assembly guide is included with your product.
If you are not confident with the process you can opt to have your furniture fitted by one of our furniture installers (opt for “add installation” whilst creating your product).
“Add Installation” Feature
From within the product designer, you can have your furniture installed by one of our installers by opting for “add installation”. Installation timeline is subject to availability and scheduling, which may affect the 2-week delivery timeline. Once your order is placed, a member of our team will reach out to coordinate the delivery and installation details with you.
